Nikolai's First Shoot

When I first got Nikolai he came naked. In fact, I opted to not even have a face up done to help cut down on cost. The only thing I bought were a pair of shoes because I just couldn't see myself making anything that would work as an alternative. After that it was probably a good six months before I pulled out my scrap materials and a needle and thread and made him something to wear.

If you could see up close it'd be obvious I'm not the greatest spinster. Hee. I had to take the shirt apart twice to get the sleeves on the right side in the right direction. Even then the seam line is in the wrong place. And what were supposed to be shirt and pants quickly turned into a vest and Capri’s. Woot! I also did a temporary faceup with some watercolour pencils. He looks much better now.

But whatever, right? It's a learning experience, and it's just kinda fun. I'll leave the more professional doll clothes to experts (like my sister).
