This is one of my favorites. For a short time I belonged to a fan club for 'The Dragonriders of Pern' novels by Anne MacCaffery, and while I was there I notice a vast difference in how people liked to draw the dragons of Pern. So, I drew this picture of firelizards with each one representing one of the many ways I saw the dragons drawn in the club.
When I was about ten or so, I went through a strong dragon phase. I think it was because I didn't have to worry about trying to be 'acurate.' This was my favorite dragon pic I drew back then.
Another dragon from the same time period as the one above. Not as good, but not the worst, either. (The worst will not be shown here, lol. I'll put up my 'not so good' early stuff, but not my 'absolutely horrid' early stuff.)
This, which I've nicknamed Aleta, meaning little flying dragon, was a statue my friend owned. I don't know the name of the artist of the statue, but it turned into a really great subject for this drawing. Later, I used the same drawing to use as a blackboard project.
I don't use pencil crayons much to colour my drawings...I don't colour my drawlings much at all, but this turned out really well. Yes, I think it's the best pencil crayon coloured drawing I've ever done.
This I drew to illustrate a story I wrote for the Dragonrider's club. Lol! It was about a dragon who got stuck in a cave. As I was drawing it, I kept running into the edges of the page. :P
This was also supposed to be an illustration for a story, but I never actually got around to writing the story. Eh, oh well. It's still cute!
This was my own interpretation of the Pern Dragon and Firelizard, putting them up next to each other for comparison. The eye was especially fun to draw as the dragons are supposed to have 'multi-facetted' mood changing eyes. Too bad I don't do colour!
This was my first attempt at colouring anything with photoshop. I made it years ago for my very first website...ya...that long ago. Haha. I've never mastered the colour in computer technique and have real admiration for those that have.
The next set of pics were quick scketches I did, and eventually coloured, for use on the last website I had. Since that site is down now, I thought I'd stick the drawings up here now, but they're nothing fancy.
It's another one.
Just like the last one.
The list goes on.
And on.
Yo.
