A brief word on who I am

There are many people I would call my friends, half of whom have been my roommate at one point or another. I wish I could say I've kept in touch with all of them, but life moves on and not always in the same direction as everyone else.
This is Jordan, probably my closest of friends. We created the Sage Universe together. And I've been lucky enough to be around to get to know her son, Orion. He's like the nephew I've never had.
Amy, is probably the wildest and most unpredictable of my friends. Recently married, although I doubt far from 'settled down,' she's introduced me to a world of wonder and excitement.
Janet is like a rock in my life. Upfront and honest about everything, she's never been afraid to speak her mind.
Sandy is Janet's best friend. Sensible, kind, and full of adventure. I met them both long ago over the internet, meeting for the first time in Vegas at a Poltergeist: The Legacy Convention. When I moved to Seattle, Amy, Janet, Sandy, and I all became rather close. As different as possible, the four of us connected unlike any way I thought possible.
Jo, whom I often call Gov, is a close friend from way back. With a pure love of forensics, she once sent me a four page email detailing the autopsy she got to sit in on. Ummm...ya. I wouldn't wish it any other way.
Jo introduced me to Nina, and that was probably her biggest mistake. Just kidding, but I'm sure others thought so. In high school Nina and I were just a little weird. More than a little. After high school we went our own way, and I think some of the weirdness has finally worn off. Nina's happily married now to a great man, and they have a son who's growing up way too fast! I'd like to also say that it's thanks to Nina that Barr came into my life.
Barr wasn't my first pet, but she was the closest of my pets, aside from my current boys. I would definitely say she was my friend. She completely changed my life and my family's life. She's gone now, but I don't regret even one moment I had with her.
Last but not least is Elaine. She really would kill me if I even dared to put a picture of her up. She's already threatened me for just having a picture of her. I guess that tells you a lot about her, eh? But she's got to be one of the coolest people I've ever known.
