Teal'c, Jedi Knight : The 'Real' Reason Teal'c Loves to Watch Star Wars

“He’s doing it again!”
“Doing what?” Daniel absently asked, far more interested in the book he’d snagged off of Jack’s bookshelf than the movie. The rest of SG1 was lounging around in Jack’s living room watching the Star Wars Trilogy. It had been Teal’c’s turn to pick the videos for the night, and the jaffa had insisted on them rather passionately.
“He’s nodding his head. T, it’s just a movie! They make this stuff up,” Jack exclaimed.
The jaffa disputed, “There is much truth to what Master Yoda teaches.”
Daniel finally looked up from the book. Oh, it was that scene. Just because it was far too tempting to see what Jack’s reaction would be, Daniel quoted, “Always there are two, The Master and the Apprentice.”
Jack gave him a glare that Daniel dutifully ignored.
“You know, sir,” Sam commented with pursed lips, “Teal’c does have an uncanny knack of always knowing where the enemy is in battle. I’ve seen him shoot behind himself without looking several times now, and he always hits the target.”
Teal’c smiled. “Master Bra’tac has taught me well.”
Both Daniel and Jack raised an eyebrow with a mixture of shock and disbelief. Even though Daniel had only just implied much the same thing, he hadn’t really meant it that way.
Crossing his arms and leaning back, Jack quipped. “Not only is he a jaffa, he’s a Jedi Knight! Next you’ll be telling me Master Bra’tac’s going to be teaching you how to try and lift rocks with your mind.”
“There is no try, only do, or do not.”
Teal’c’s response was so straight forward it made Daniel really wonder if the jaffa was actually joking or not. Like an echo of his thoughts, Jack groused, “Damn Jedi mind tricks!”
